Glasses for Jazzmin??

I am taking Jazzmin to get her eyes checked on Friday. She has been having issues with getting dizzy sometimes when she focuses (i.e. stares) at something too long. She says this also happens when she reads. So we shall see what it is. If she needs them - I hope glasses aren't too expensive. :/

It's great that you have the appointment -- good to get that checked out sooner rather than later! I hope the glasses address her problem. Does she need stronger lighting in her room, too? Maybe that would help a little in the mean time. I thought I needed glasses when I was working at Carvel, because I had an uncharacteristicly hard time focusing during my shifts there. But I think it was their lousy lighting. Brian uses reading glasses, but is often able to make due if the light is fairly bright.

Insurance may pay for the glasses. I am guessing a big company like PWC has good insurance. :)

change that to "uncharacteristically." I always try to get by without the "al" if the word without the "ly" but with the "al" isn't a real word. But that's probably a lousy rule of thumb.

I was told by the place giving the exam that my insurance doesn't cover the actual glasses, only the exam. There is a seperate insurance for vision, which I don't have since Jazz and I hadn't had any vision issues.

Jazz has had the dizziness even at school when trying to keep her eyes on the teacher and that place is pretty well lit.

I just spoke to the health/benefits dept. at my job - was going to see about signing up for vision insurance and it turns out that the seperate vision insurance is already included and factored into the cost of the medical insurance. So I was covered all along and didn't know it! Yeah!

Jazzmin is covered for frames up to $130 and the lenses are a $15 co-pay.

That's great news! I've paid about $100 or so for frames and the lenses are additional. There are good deals that you can find out there. I would think that a child's frames would be less expensive...I could be wrong?
